That's how CubOak was born. From a simple idea: to create a place where children can discover the world, and families can enjoy watching them grow.

An idea that became a family project

It all started with Bart and Ben, two brothers who, after years working in logistics and getting to know products from all over the world, realized something was still missing: a play mat that brought together quality, safety, design, and a look that feels naturally at home in any house.

They didn't want to make just another kids' product. They wanted to make something families would truly love having at home.

And they knew a good idea gets even better when you share it with the right people.

So they invited Santi, a friend and industrial designer with years of experience developing children's play surfaces and toys.

Santi brought the technical know-how, the care for materials, and that obsession with the small details that make a big difference. Because when it comes to little ones, every inch of softness, every connection, and every finish matters.

But something essential was still missing.

A product designed not only for children, but also for the homes where they would grow up.

That's where Ley, Bart's wife, came in, along with her sister Flavia and brother-in-law Edi.

With a sensitive eye for spaces, colors, and details, they helped turn a functional product into a piece of design.

They thought about how it would look on a wood floor, how its colors would shift in the afternoon light, and how it would live alongside the furniture and objects that make a house feel like a home.

There were tests, samples, photos, conversations, and many decisions made together. Each one brought that first idea a little closer to what CubOak is today.

We believe children's spaces don't have to be separate from grown-up spaces.

That a home can stay beautiful while it fills up with toys, laughter, and little discoveries.

That good design can care for us, keep us company, and make everyday life a little simpler.

That's why we make mats that invite play from day one. Soft, safe surfaces for those first movements, pieces that connect and become part of the game, and warm colors that naturally find their place at home.

Our first design, a little bear, says a lot about what we believe: that childhood deserves objects full of tenderness, but also of intention, quality, and good design.

CubOak wasn't born in a big company or from a business formula.

It was born from two brothers, a friend, and a family who brought their talents together to create something they truly believed in.

And though it took longer than we ever imagined, every test, every change, and every conversation helped us build something we're proud of today.
